A Lions secondary that already is missing two key players who are on the PUP list now has lost defensive back Avonte Maddox for the season due to a foot injury.
The embattled Lions defense has lost defensive back Avonte Maddox for the season, while coach Dan Campbell is defending second-year defensive coordinator Kelvin Sheppard.
