Sasaki: Marlins provide quickest path to major leagues

The Marlins introduced Rintaro Sasaki to the media on Thursday after he announced earlier this week that he would forgo a pro career in Japan to sign with Miami.
Rintaro Sasaki said that he chose to sign with the Marlins rather than return to Stanford or play in his home country of Japan because Miami afforded him the quickest path to major leagues.
